MEN’S BREAKFAST Saturday, October 11 at 7:30 AM at St. Paul Baptist Church. Come for a great breakfast and a time of ministry and fellowship. Men of all ages are welcome.
MISSIONS PRAYER / LOVE CAMBODIA NIGHT: Join us next Sunday, October 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Mills for an evening of prayer and mission’s emphasis on Cambodia. A light dinner will be provided. We will be viewing video and pictures as well as receiving updates on various projects. There will also be a time of sharing testimonies. FAITH AT WORK; Inviting Christ into Your Workplace Conference: Riverside Community Church is a co-sponsor of this conference taking place on Saturday, October 18 from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM at Allegheny Center Alliance Church, Northside. CHRISTIANITY 101 SEMINAR: Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Student Life Center. This class is for anyone new to RCC who is interested in learning more about the church and is a prerequisite for those considering membership. Please sign up on the Connection Card if you plan to attend.
MEMBERSHIP CLASS: Saturday, October 18, from 2:00-3:00 PM (following the 101 Seminar) at the Student Life Center. All those desiring to become members must attend this class. Please sign up on the Connection Card if you plan to attend.
BABY DEDICATIONS: Sunday, October 19. If you regularly attend Riverside Community Church, are part of the RCC family and would like to have your infant/child dedicated, please pick up a copy of the application and information sheet at the Connection Center. All applications must be submitted to the Church Office by Sunday, October 12.
BAPTISM SERVICE: Sunday, October 19, at 5:00 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church on Delaware Avenue in Oakmont. If you wish to be water baptized, please indicate on the Connection Card and complete a sign-up form at the Connection Center. Please note that water baptism is a prerequisite for church membership.
CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS: In accordance with Section 2 of the RCC Constitution, any active member of the assembly proposing amendment(s) for the Annual Business Meeting must submit the proposal(s) in writing to the Pastor or the Secretary of the Assembly (Paul Irvin) no later than November 1. Call the church office for a copy of the Constitution. Amendments may be submitted to the church office to be directed to the Pastor or Board Secretary.
NINTH ANNUAL VETERAN’S DAY SERVICE will be held in the Burket-Truby Funeral Home parking lot Saturday, November 8 at 8:30 AM. Paul Gigler E5 Sgt., of the United States Marine Corp., is the guest speaker. If you have lost a veteran in the last year and would like them listed in the program, please call 412-828-3535 by November 5. Refreshments will be served. In the event of inclement weather the service will be held in the RCC Oakmont Sanctuary.
FALL LANDSCAPING DAY: Saturday, November 15. We need to get the Oakmont Campus ready for Fall by removing the Impatiens, planting tulip bulbs and other perennials, and general clean-up. We need several people to lend a hand for a few hours starting at 9:00 AM, bring gardening tools too. Please sign up on the Connection Card if you can help.
